Pinnacle Desert

Pretty weird to see these standing stones in a real sand desert, surrounded by the red soil deser and the white sand dunes…

The stones themselves are limestone, which in a time pretty long ago were formed out of broken down seashells, becoming sand and being blown inland with the highly dynamic dune system…They formed through karstification, and built themselves up around the remainders of trees or root systems, which kept water and minerals…
